Saghar Amozgar, Persian in origin, studied and travelled in India for 8 years. It was during this time while doing her PhD in Psychology (Pune, India) that she began to combine her understanding of modern psychology with ancientknowledge of Yoga and Meditation. Saghar has been fortunate to live in the close neighbourhood of BKS Iyengar, Ashram in Pune, and so she practiced her yoga there with the master himself. She later graduated as a Sivananda Yoga Teacher having completed her Teacher Training in 2004 and since then she has been teaching in the UK and Iran. She is interested in working with different communities, and has worked with Muslim women groups and Afghani refugees. Her yoga practice is a continual learning experience inspired by many great teachers, most recently by David Sye. Saghar also practice Ayrvedic yoga massage and run regular workshops and training courses.
